2-3. TRAINING SEQUENCE The Practical Nurse Course is a 52-week training program conducted in three phases. Phase I is 8 weeks in length and is conducted at the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences (AHS), Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Phases II and III are a total of 44 weeks in length and are conducted at one of five designated MTFs in the continental United States (CONUS).
