5-2. EVALUATE AND REASSURE PATIENT
NOTE: These tasks will be done before you begin treatment for burns of the eye.
a. Check for and treat life-threatening conditions.
b. Reassure the patient. When eyes are burned or injured, individuals are easily frightened and fearful of losing their sight.
