2-2. REASONS FOR USING AN EYE DRESSING

 

Eye dressings are applied in order to:

 

a. Protect the eye from light, infection, and further injury.

 

b. Limit movement and prevent usage of the eye.

 

c. Absorb secretions and blood.

 

d. Hold extrusions in place.
