Inserting a Foley Catheter
Use the sterile gloves included in the package.
Open the antiseptic solution and lubricating jelly.
Test the balloon tip.
Separate the labia and cleanse the vulva.
The urethra is just below the clitoris and just above the vaginal opening.
Insert the Foley catheter through the urethra and into the bladder.
Inflate the balloon tip after you see free flowing urine through the tubing.
